The F.I.S.G. is a non-profit association founded in 1926. It is the roof organization of all icesport-departments in Italy. The headquarters of FISG is located in Rome, Via Vitorchiano 113/115 and the Sport Department offices are in Milan. There are 16 employees that are working for FISG full time and 3 that working part time.

FISG has the purpose of promoting, spreading and disciplining all kinds of ice-sport, such as icehockey, figure skating, speed skating, curling and stock, curling wheel cheer and sledge hockey and  to train coaches  and athletes who wish to practice these sports in Italy.

The total number of 98 icehockey clubs are currently registered in Italy (279 icesport clubs). This makes a total number of registered icehockey players of 5.697 (5.357 male and 340 female).

FISG declares all necessary support for the distribution of the project-ideas and respective questionares and guidelines and is very happy to take part in this international icehockey project with minimum 2 teams and to educate Italian coaches and referees through EUROCUP.
